1 week away!

There's only one week until our 1 year anniversary! YAY! I still don't know what I am going to get/make him since we are tight on money.

Post-surgery update

So, the surgery went great and I am now missing a piece of my body. haha. A am healing up fast, but still can't do a lot of bending and lifting. Not much else has gone on. We are going to Rodney's family's Thanksgiving dinner tonight. We have such a boring life. LOL

I hate missing school.

Seriously. I absolutely hate it. And now i'm going to be out for 2 or 3 weeks! Here's the story:

I woke up Monday morning about 2 a.m. and was hurting SO bad in my upper abdomen thru to my back. I also started vomiting. Well, I was hoping the pain would get better, but it didn't. Rodney ended up taking me to the emergency room. We found out I have gallstones. So, they gave me some pain medicine and a surgeon to call. My appointment with the surgeon wasn't going to be until October 27th! YIKES! I can't even go to school because it hurts to walk around. There was no way I could wait until the 27th! So, I suffered thru Tuesday, still in pain even with the medicine. Wednsday morining I went back to the ER because the medicine just wasn't enough. After sitting there again for hours, the doctor came in and told me they couldn't do anything and sent me home. They said because I wasn't and "emergency" (read: not about to die) there was nothing they could do, but he did give me the name of another surgeon and he had an opening on the 14th (yay!). So now I spend my days sitting here in the recliner waiting for the day they can remove my gallbladder and i'm not in so much pain.

Sad news

A friend, Jill, passed.

New Haircut!

I finally got a haircut after about 5 years! It has been driving be crazy being long, so I decided to cut it.

Yay! I love it! It's so much easier to deal with. I'll post better pictures once I find my camera battery charger.

Back To School

I started school last Monday. So far it hasn't been TOO bad. Lots and lots of walking though, and it seems to be all up hill... My classes seem easy. Intro to Politics is the only class that looks like it might give me trouble. I think I'll have an easy semester.

8 whole months!

Today is our 8 monthiversary! Yay! It seems to have gone by so fast!! Crazy how time flies.

The Dark Knight

Rodney and I went to go see The Dark Knight a couple of weekends ago. It was SO GOOD! I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I did. I definitely recommend it! It blew me away! Christian Bale played an awesome Batman. I also liked how Lt. Gordon played a bigger roll in this movie.



The late Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker was great! He was cynical and scary, yet amazing. He did such and awesome job. It is really a shame that he died.

What I didn't like about the movie is they killed off Harvey Dent (Two-Face) in the end. He would have made a good bad guy in the next movie (if there is one).

We are going tonight to go see it again with some friends. I can't wait til it comes out on DVD!

Our First Fig!

I was checking out my fig tree today and we got our first fig! There have been a ton of green ones, but this is the first ripe. Hopefully they will start picking up.

So, now I have to figure out what i'm going to make with all of these figs.....

My first blog!

After finally being able to get back onto the internt (yay!), and back on the knot (double yay!), I saw all of these wonderful blogs! So i thought, "What the hey!" and jumped on the bandwagon.
